It all started with a dream to bring awe and wonder to the West Texas sky. In 2017, founders Patricia and Kirk sought out to create an event not known to the wild west. Fly Away Fiesta celebrates the small town of Marfa and is focused on integrating tourists with Marfa locals. Without returning visitors and word of mouth, their dream would not be possible and they are forever grateful!

For three days in October, the Fly Away Fiesta creates an enchanted world of special-shaped balloon rodeos, twilight balloon glows, and vibrant balloon-filled skies. Brisk autumn mornings in Marfa, Texas create an otherwordly backdrop for the breathtaking majesty of our most popular event. This year will be the largest amount of balloons Fly Away Fiesta has ever had! Like always, Fly Away Fiesta keeps the balloons a secret and announces them three days before the event.
